Suggested solutions-CostsOur suggested solutions cover all costs beginning from 1.000€ and all result to amazing savings for home owners and profits of over 20% per year for a medium sized investment (10.000-70.000 €) for companies-producers. All expenses for the installation of an energy saving system using RES, are deducted from your income tax in Greece.
Below you can find some basic solutions that we strongly suggest for energy saving Systems or energy selling to the Grid and combination of both
We can convert an existing house of 70m2 of a three-member family to operate independently from the Electrical Grid and hold a 24-hour operation in an emergency situation of all-Systems Down. If the house is already connected to the Grid we suggest you keep the connection and save another 1200€ from the final System price. In case the house is not yet connected ,we suggest you do not ask PPC S.A. for a connection until you get our proposal , as connection fees to PPC S.A. Grid have been reported to reach as high as 17.000€ for far-out places. House Autonomy is strongly suggested for places (like the Aegean islands) where power shortage and blackouts are often and last long, due to the Area grid isolation, not good maintenance of the Grid, or bad weather. Indicative cost of full-energy-autonomy: 20.000-30.000€* We would like to point out that in case you want to power a set of houses of the same neighborhood instead of 1 house alone, the costs are significantly reduced. That in plain words means that two neighboring autonomous houses cost less than 2 times the cost of 1 autonomous house.
2. Kiklades, Dodecanese islands, Crete, Samos - Ikaria - Chios, Evia
These islands are blessed with the highest Solar irradiation in Greece (see Maps) and some of them present also a great wind-potential. These facts make them the ideal places for the installation of any RES system and keep the installation costs further down the scale. Furthermore some of these islands present frequent disruptions of the Electrical Grid, making the use of autonomous and back up RES systems, even more attractive. As for the sale of electrical energy produced by small WTGs to the Grid, it can yield an annual profit of as much as 30%* of your initial investment, meaning that in 20 years time you will have maybe multiplied your money by 6. The break-even time of your investments is approx 3-4 years, with the new feed in tariffs offered by the new law to “small” producers in Greece (increased by 300%- 250€/MWh instead of 80€-90€ per MWh). Of course other combinations can be arranged for smaller pocket sizes and any excess energy produced can be fed to the Grid with prices up to 5 times the price you pay for your consumption to PPC S.A., which means you will probably end up in being paid by PPC S.A. instead of paying it. Also make note that with the new law about RES energy production, the “small” producer systems are excluded from the obligation to acquire any special license, and also “non disturbing” systems in self-owned properties do not even need an Environmental Permit.
Wind Generator of 1 kW Nominal Power, model Whisper 200 (product of Southwest, USA), installed at Sozopoli, Chalkidiki, and connected to batteries and DC lights. Cost: 3.000€ + VAT 3. Northern Greece, Northern Aegean islands For companies-independent energy producers we suggest the installation of wind turbine generators, that can yield an annual profit of as much as 30%* of your initial investment, meaning that in 20 years time you will have maybe multiplied your money by 6. The break-even time of your investments is approx 3-4 years, with the new feed in tariffs offered by the new law to “small” producers in Greece (increased by 300%- 250€/MWh instead of 80€-90€ per MWh).We do not propose large PV systems to potential producers in Northern Greece , as solar irradiation is lower in Northern Greece (see maps) than the rest of the country, meaning a lesser production for the same installation cost. For suburban households we suggest the installation of small wind turbines which can save your house a lot out of the electricity bill per year, to give you a good yearly profit , or even make your residence autonomous from the Electrical Grid.Of course other combinations can be arranged for smaller pocket sizes and any excess energy produced can be fed to the Grid with prices up to 5 times the price you pay for your consumption to PPC S.A., which means you will probably end up in being paid by PPC S.A. instead of paying it. Also make note that with the new law about RES energy production, the “small” producer systems are excluded from the obligation to acquire any special license, and also “non disturbing” systems in self-owned properties do not even need an Environmental Permit. For Athens and other big cities we suggest solar panels-PVs on the rooftops, which can be used for a variety of objectives, from powering safety systems- UPS-emergency loads, to saving from the Electricity bill and up to making money from selling Energy to the Grid. Indicative installation costs begin from 1.000€* and up to whatever you want. As , for Safety and Zoning reasons, small wind generators cannot be installed on City apartment roofs, we cannot offer autonomy systems inside the Big Cities.
5. Local administration authorities For Local authorities we suggest you take advantage of the current "Exoikonomo" program of the Ministry of Development (see Links) and any other funding program of the E.U. and install RES energy systems for various objectives from de-salination plants to watering fields, City lights and powering marinas. The primary local authorities (municipalities), in within their limits there are power plants (for producing electricity to be sold to the network or to the system), by law, benefit by 3% of annual turnover of the producer. Help us to design the best solution for you by communicating to us your needs and ideas.
For your boat (recreational or professional), with the installation of a small wind turbine, you charge the batteries and serve the loads on board, saving money from fuel consumption and reducing the risk of a loss of power in the sea.The cost for the installation of a Marine small wind generator of 300W Nominal Power,is 850 €* for a boat stationed in Athens plus the required mast materials
Mobile Solar chargers for all rechargeable batteries and example usages (included in price list) All our RES systems can be used for powering other than the usual loads, that is from Alarms, landscape and garden to house lights, refrigerators, charging of batteries, cooling fans, pumps etc. Costs in these cases are significantly less than normal AC load powering. *All costs are indicative and not inclusive of VAT. Real costs heavily depend on the place of installation and other factors. |
